(Currently Under Renovation)

Founded in 1753 as a log structure at Reed and Washington Streets, First Reformed Church of Reading has a rich and enduring history. Rebuilt in stone in 1761 and later reconstructed in brick in 1831, the church has undergone several expansions over the centuries. Now undergoing a thoughtful restoration at 621 Washington Street—including refinished flooring, restored seating, and original salvaged lighting—the building will soon serve as a beautiful space for non-denominational weddings, community events, and gatherings in its stage and lounge areas. We look forward to opening this remarkable downtown Reading landmark in spring 2026.
